i filled my zippo with butane because it’s all i have, and when i lit it the flame blew up in my face. also, is there a way i can make a regular zippo work with butane?

Well I’ve been looking around my house for some lighter fluid and this is all I can find. Plus i’m new to having a Zippo lighter :}

the fuel is pretty expensive, i think that kerosene is a cheap substitute since that’s what alcohol lamps run on, and the principle behind both devices are the same.

ok so i want to refil my zippo with this lighter i baught but doesnt work, my lighter is full of fluid so i have no clue why it wont work but anyways. i got my zippo apart and know how to fill it but how do i take apart my lighter to get the fluid out?
