cuz i have a zippo and i ned some fluid but i dont know how much is cost…..

I’ve always found Zippo’s method of storing fluid – soaking cotton wool – rather crude.
1. Are you meant to fill it till it’s thoroughly soaking (I read it’s meant to be so damp that lighter fluid can pour out of it!)?
2. Is this cotton wool system really that effective?
3. Once fully filled, how long can it be expected to last?

I just wanna get a general idea of what might be real or fake out there. Thanks.

How much will it cost?

i have some questions about zippos i cant find anywhere else. how much does it hold, about how long do they last on one full tank, about how often do you need to replace the flint, and the wick, and does the fluid evaporate when stored in the sealed bottle it comes in? thanks alot

it is a zippo lighter so it’s genuine and everything,
the lighter is metal i think it might be chrome but possibly stainless steel, if im lucky it might be silver it feels quite heavy and good quality on the front there’s a picture of the king and ‘Elvis’ in big letters and ‘50 years with…’ behind him, it was a limited edition from when it should have been his 50th birthday, but it might have been 50 years since he got famous im not so sure, my nan received it from a friend in america about 20 or so years ago just after she’d stopped smoking so it has never been used and barely even touched.
on the bottom theres the letter ‘G’ (not sure if that mean anything)
‘zippo’ and the roman numerals ‘IV’ and below it it says ‘Bradford, PA’ which was obviously wher eit came from
it’s still in it’s box and is in pristine condition. any ideas on how much it is worth???
